Do this because
  • See a side of the Eiffel Tower that you would miss from the elevator
  • Hear interesting stories about Gustave Eiffel
  • Choose an optional upgrade to go up to the summit
  • Get a bird's eye view of the Louvre, Notre Dame, Sacré-Cœur, Les Invalides, and more
What to expect

Climb the stairs up the Eiffel Tower by foot with a guide by your side every step of the way.

Brag to your friends and join your fellow adventurers as you ascend 704 steps on foot with your expert guide who has carefully planned a pace designed for your comfort. Along the way, you will hear stories and fun facts about the Tower and surrounding landmarks. The scenery changes and expands around you on a journey that is as spectacular as the destination. The history, the legends, the views. It’s all waiting for you at the world’s most visited landmark, The Eiffel Tower.

If you've selected and paid for the summit upgrade, you get to experience the very top of the Eiffel Tower, traveling from the second floor to the “third floor” via a glass-walled elevator. At the summit, peek inside Gustave's restored private office, with wax figures of his daughter, Claire, and Thomas Edison. Other exhibits show historic maps and even a model of the reddish-brown 1889 summit. Enjoy the views from the indoor and outdoor observation decks, and finish it all off with a drink at the champagne bar.

As per the regulations of the Eiffel Tower, if you've upgraded your tour to access the summit, you are required to proceed directly to the summit upon reaching the second floor. Once you have visited the top, you are free to explore the first and second floors on your descent. The first floor of the Eiffel Tower features more displays, a glass floor, and occasional temporary exhibitions.
