  • Reptile house and tropical river

What to expect

Dr Doolittle eat your heart out – Palmitos Park has more birds, fish and creatures than you could ever chat to. Set at the top of volcanic canyon near Maspalomas, this brilliant wildlife park boasts a roll call of residents that will impress your whole family, large and small.

You'll see dolphins leaping, toucans tapping on fruit husks and Komodo dragons basking on boulders. Just follow the footpaths through the palms, rocks and cacti and you'll find them – all living in replica natural habitats or large enclosures.

Highlights include the free-flying bird shows, where you can see eagles perform their amazing aerial acrobatics and watch colourful parrots and macaws as they walk tightropes and play funny tricks. But the real stars are the dolphins - a sight to behold.
