What to expect

Spend a fun-filled family day out at Loro Parque, one of the Canary Islands’ top attractions. Originally created as a haven for parrots, it’s grown into a world-class wildlife park with over 40 million visitors and counting. Known for its immersive design and strong focus on conservation, it was the first zoo to receive the Animal Embassy’s Environmental Certification.

Check out the recreated habitats, featuring carefully themed architecture that feels both immersive and respectful of the animals it houses. You can stop by world-famous exhibits – the Coral Kingdom, the largest man-made coral reef outside the ocean, is a real highlight.

Wander through AquaViva, the Zen Garden, and the Orchid House. Kids can let off steam in Kinderlandia, and bird lovers will have plenty to see at Katandra Treetops. From the Jungle Ara to the colourful Aquarium and Baby Station, there’s something for everyone. You can also grab a Twin Ticket (click here) to visit both Loro Parque and Siam Park within 15 days – a great way to experience two of Tenerife’s top attractions.

Nat Geo Day Tour: History of Wine in the Canary Islands

Exclusively crafted for National Geographic, this tour offers a deep dive into Canarian wine and its historical significance as a cornerstone of European society from the 15th to the 18th century. As you wander its cobbled streets, your National Geographic-trained guide will unveil the tale of its port—a vital hub for exporting wine to Europe and America, tragically altered by a volcanic eruption. Next, venture to Viñátigo Winery, a family-run estate celebrated for rescuing Tenerife's native grape varieties from near extinction. Meet the bodega wine specialist amid sprawling vineyards, where you'll learn about diverse grape species and their eco-friendly and organic agricultural methods. Experience their meticulous wine-making process before sampling a selection of their finest wines. Wrap up your day with a delightful spread of authentic Canarian snacks surrounded by the stunning vineyard scenery, immersing yourself in the eye-catching vistas of the landscape and the Atlantic Ocean serving as your backdrop.

Teide and Masca Tour from Southern Tenerife

This exclusive tour explores Tenerife's most dramatic inland areas. You'll venture in an eight-seater minivan through the otherworldly landscapes of Teide National Park, admire the panoramas from countless viewpoints and visit the ridge-top hamlet of Masca. Plus, there's traditional Canarian lunch on the menu, too. Arianne, one of our expert local guides, say, ‘I love guiding this tour because it's an overdose of nature, focusing on the island's volcanology, from the past to the present.'Your adventure kicks off by heading south into Teide National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – climbing through a dense pine forest. There's a pit stop at Chirche viewpoint, which often overlooks cloud-shrouded terrain below. The scenery around here is still bursting with greenery. But as we journey deeper into the national park, you'll encounter volcanic landscapes that could easily be on the moon, Venus or Mars. Desolate, rock-strewn badlands. A stop at Roques de Garcia allows you to take some pics near these iconic rock formations, with the volcano's cone in the background.Grab a last look at the lava-scarred landscapes at Poleos viewpoint before dropping into a family-run restaurant for a lunch made from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Rounding off the day is a visit to Masca – a hard-to-reach hamlet perched on a ridge in a deep volcanic gorge. Enjoy free time to poke around and take in the vistas.
